Took it for a spin on a quick 3&1/2 mile hike. Had about 25 lbs in there with room to spare. Rode well and felt like it would get comfortable as I broke it in. Will need to finagle a bear can in at some point in the future. How’s the fit look?

djenceeLooks about right. Load lifters are pretty close to horizontal so you wouldn't want to be taller but should work well as is. For the bear canister you could insert it vertically and just watch that it doesn't have a center rib that pushes on your back too hard, or store it horizontally near the top or on top (via the top strap).

MTTurtleYo MTTurtle What’s up?! My torso size 19” and I bought a M/L pack. I’m 6’-0” and about 230 lbs. The pack was comfortable on my first run, so far so good.

dandurstonThanks! I’ll write up a review after I get more use out of it. Good tips on the bear can and I will use them to make it work. Looking forward to the X-Mid 2p that I ordered, so I can really get out and enjoy!

djenceeI've fit a BV450 with the lid facing away from my back. It makes for a pretty snug load, but it works. I would suggest trying dans suggestion or trying to strap the pack to the top via the top strap. This might prevent putting unwanted strain on the fabric.

djencee25lbs with room to spare. I am working my way down, but not there. How much more room/weight? I am hoping to be 35lb range as I continue to jettison items. I just asked Dan same question, but saw your post. I am also at about 17" torso so would you recommend 40L or 43L.
