Product Description
The Drop ALT mechanical keyboard is just like the CTRL, but with 67 keys instead of 87. Absent of function keys, it wastes no space—but it still has a full set of arrows and numerals Read More

Best purchase of my life and I've adopted a kid.
Day one of using this keyboard, it worked perfectly. I loved the LEDs, the feel of the MX Browns, just about everything about this keyboard seemed perfect compared to my previous keyboard. Day two of using this keyboard, I was playing a game and about 30 minutes in, I hear the disconnect sound from my computer and also notice that the default light pattern on the keyboard stopped moving and pressing any key on the board did not do anything. When I went to click the reset button, nothing happened, so I had to power down my PC. To my surprise, the keyboard lights still stayed on even though the PC was powered off, so I unplugged the keyboard and let it sit for 30 min. After I plugged everything in and powered up my PC, everything worked fine for the rest of the day. Day three, everything that happened in day two was happening every 10 minutes of using the keyboard, making it unusable. Now I know that this is very unusual looking at all of the other reviews, but it is still upsetting. I have reached out to massdrop and they are sending me a replacement. Hopefully the new one works like its suppose to, and if it does, I'll update this review. Update to this review. 3/20/2019 They actually sent me the replacement before I sent in the defective keyboard which was nice (because I threw out the old box it was mailed in), and they also covered the cost of the return label which I can't complain about. I have had the new keyboard for a week now with no issues what so ever. Despite having to go through the exchange process, their customer support was very helpful and the process was very smooth. I am happy I have a working keyboard because this board is gorgeous! I know defects do happen and because I got one that was defective I probably would of updated my review from a 1 star to a 4 star, but because their customer service was flawless, this review definitely deserves the full 5 stars.

The kaihua switchs suck
I have the kaihua box white switches they don’t fit properly in the holes of the keyboard so if you try and take the key caps off it pulls the switches up then it drops back down bending the pin on the bottom, I’ve had to bend them back multiple times once when I got the keyboard and then the rest after a light cleaning

It's fine but not worth IMO
Pros: Customizable Hotswap switches Cool design Cons: Replacement feet near impossible to find Issues with USB C ports not working I bought this keyboard and have mained it for over a year. I'm just left wanting more since other brands offer more features for less. The build quality is nice, but I was happier with my Keychron. Obviously, this is a preference thing, so if you like the design, have the money, and don't mind missing wireless, it's a decent board.

Great quality product and a price that's right
I've had this keyboard for about 3 years now. It has endured hardcore gaming, a few moves, some drops, some poor storage conditions and it just keeps rolling on like a tank. I bought it right when I got my first job out of college. This keyboard and my computer were practically the first time I ever really splurged on myself. I remember thinking at the time that the price was prohibitive and second guessed myself when it came to buying it. I pulled the trigger and justified this expense by underspending on my other peripherals. Putting the money on the table was well worth it. Every other peripheral that I bought has long been dead or deteriorated to a point where I had to replace them. At that point, I was much more comfortable spending the money to get quality products that matched the standard of this keyboard. I don't even really remember how I found Drop, but I've never once regretted owning this keyboard. Some extra info for those interested: I would categorize this as a louder keyboard than most with tactile. My microphone can detect key presses even when my gain quite low. Personally, I like a good sound to it. So if you want something silent, you might need to do some customization to the keys. I'd say the keys are a good mix of stiff and flexible. I do not experience any wobble or drift with exception to the space bar and shift key, but those are very minimal in my opinion. Everything else is rock solid but takes little effort to register the command that you want.

I fell in love
I bought the keyboard on a discount as a potential backup because it looked nice, but have since changed to have it as my main keyboard. It is compact and solid with terrific build quality, the hot-swappable switches are a nice feature that I have yet to take advantage of, and the key configurator is very nice. The only thing I regret is not buying the Shift model for the number pad, but it is an excellent keyboard for this form factor.

Clicky Clack I Type on This
I've had this keyboard for a year and it's great. The keys are not loud, and I can take it to the office with no complaints from coworkers. The backlight colors help keep me focused. The USB cable is easy to connect. Overall, I would recommend this keyboard.

Great Keyboard... for a while
The drop alt is my first real mechanical keyboard and has been wonderful. It has sturdy construction with customizable software. The issue is that after a three years, it has completely stopped working. Support has refused to fix my keyboard. While the keyboard itself was great, support is unhelpful if you do encounter an issue.
