I’ve washed mine in pants twice now and it still works? Maybe I just got lucky... I mean it says IPX-8 waterproof too!

I prefer the CREE XP3 for its brighter and whiter light.

How are the different brightness levels cycled through? The light comes with instructions stating a 'press' will cycle the light modes and a 'click' will turn the light on and off. This is the 2nd flashlight I have recieved that only cycles the brightness when 'clicking' the light on and off. Meaning its click on (low) - click off - on (med) - off - on (high) - off- repeat. No amount of finessing, no matter how lightly/hard I press, no duration, whether on the center or perimeter, nothing I can do to the button will cycle through the power levels with the light on. I've waited hours for the capacitor to charge, I've used multiple new batteries, I've tried varying levels of end-cap tightness- I have yet to, even a single time, cycle through the light modes without turning the flashlight on and off. What is this mystical 'press' the instructional sheet speaks of? Is this the normal function of the flashlight? Am I getting lemons? Are the instructions incorrect? Am I misunderstanding 'press' and 'click'? Thanks for any help.

I read the same thing regarding pressing and clicking. There are three modes to cycle through, each that require clicking between on & off to get to the next. Unfortunately, I'm going with the instructions are incorrect.
