Product Description
If you liked the Massdrop Brass AAA Flashlight, then you’ll love our latest version, now stronger, lighter, and decked out in icy blue. About the size of a tube of chapstick—and not much heavier at 1.2 ounces—it pumps out up to 110 lumens and casts a beam as far as 154 feet Read More
-Nichia is more like natural lighting, giving warmer color tones, at the cost of less lumens/brightness
-Cree is more similar to the bright white color that cell phone flash LEDs output, so many objects will look washed out, but you do get a more intense brightness
-Neither is better, but Nichia is easier on the eyes when in total darkness whereas Cree will have slightly further range
I prefer the Nichia. The brightness difference isn't enough for me to care. The Nichia puts out plenty of light for a 1xAAA pocket light. Most of the times when I'm using a flashlight, it's dark. The "neutral white" of the Nichia is much easier on my eyes and gives me a fuller, richer picture of whatever I'm viewing.
Yeah enjoy it while it lasts. Mine quit working in 2 months. 2 months of sitting on my table & being used when my dogs barked at something.
This product is garbage. Get a Fenix.
You cannot buy a separate clip. Mine broke when I tried to change positions. I reached out to Drop and they stated they order a finite amount of product and nothing extra.
The instruction sheet had fallen out of the box when I unpacked it. Turns out you need to let the capacitor charge for a few minutes before the light will turn on. Hope my dumb discovery helps someone else :)
