This product is good with "defect"
I am excited when I saw Drop BMR1 nearfield Monitors, and the audio quality is a big step up from my 15 years old Logitech 2.1 system. In addition, I hope there would be future "firmware upgrade" via Bluetooth. The bluetooth function is great, because I can connect to my desktop directly. However, the DROP states the best connection is via TRSS 3.5mm analog."The BMR1 is primarily designed to be connected through its wired connection, For the best overall sound quality and reliability, we recommend the wired connection". ( see "defect" below) Now I want to talk about "defect", I have tried to connect the BMR1 to my desktop via TRSS 3.5mm cable. HOWEVER, the monitors will generate "hiss" noise, and I was surprised that this BMR1 would have this issue. As of now, there is no fix for wired connection. Thus, if you are senstive to "hiss", you should use bluetooth connection. DROP development team, please issue an firmware update to fix the "hiss" noise when the BMR1 is connected via TRRS 3.5mm cable.

JunZhouThanks for the detailed review. The analog input is particularly senstivey to any noise along the signal path from source, cable (RF) to its mechanical connection. Both analog and BT do go through the same DSP, making the audio comparision extremely close. (Analog will have a slightly higher gain due to its sensitivity). A poor analog source might give BT an edge in some cases.
