At $130 I would be going with Logitech Z series, and at $100 I'd go with Klipsch ProMedia. Both of those systems come with subwoofers and are made by manufacturers that are tried and true. Drop's track record with audio equipment is pretty good, but they have let some stinkers go over the years (Grell True Wireless Buds for example), so I would balk hard on these until they've been out and about for a while and have been well reviewed. Lack of subwoofer, and subwoofer pairing suggestions is another ding at this price point. Once you add the cost of a sub to this set, your current market options expand greatly. Colored speaker grilles? Whooptydoo... hard pass on these from me.

whoatacosI've got a Klipsch 2.1 Pro Media right now. While I'm intrigued by these and the price is lower than I would have guessed ... can't really think of a reason to bother.

WordsandMusicIMO better off spending the $100 on a subwoofer stand and some sorbothane pads (assuming you haven't already) rather than changing your setup entirely. You might even have enough $ leftover to get a couple nice beers!

whoatacosWell ... I've never heard of sorbothane, but now I'll have to look into that. :)

SummerRayneGrlIf your washer/dryer vibrates excessively you can also get thicker, higher durometer pieces of sorbothane to help that situation as well. Safe to say that when I initially found out about sorbothane I went a bit overboard...

whoatacosAny desktop setup that requires bass and bass output needs a sub. I've never heard any dedicated desktops that are decent that don't have a sub. The Klipsch Pro Media is killer value. I enjoyed it. Moved on to Kanto6 on iSO Acoustic stands/sub8/velodyne sub for my current desktop setup.

RugerI'm with you there. Once you get a setup dialed in, its hard to want to change anything. I am currently running a set of Logitech z625s through a FiiO K3. The stock non skid pads on the sub are not adequate so I added sorbothane discs between the sub and sub stand, and between the sub stand and the floor. The bass is very clean and I have virtually zero vibrations or resonance. A good EQ setup helped too. Barring a quantum leap improvement in the low-mid range offerings, I'm sticking with what I have.

RugerI started many years ago with monsoon flat panel speakers and sub then onto the pro media 2.1 and it was ridiculously good sounding. Now my setup is twin in ceiling Yamaha 8” studio speakers in a sealed rafter box I made with a monolith 12” ultra in the corner with a single port plug in. Makes the man cave the ultimate game and music center. Point being I could never go back to a little desktop speaker that looks like a tweeter blaster.
