Direct replacement for a very old (pre usb C) glorious tenkeyless, moved everything over and very impressed with how quiet is and has zero flex.
I like the magnetic feet (my old board the feet broke off), but I'd love just a few more mm of height. Not loving that you can't seem to even buy replacements much less different sizes. Seems like a lost opportunity, but otherwise zero complaints.
took me a little while to figure out how to mount the stabilizers. Used Holy Panda yellow lubed and Noctua MT3 caps. This board is very very nice. It won't be the last one of these I own.
I built this out with Holy Panda x lubed switches, skylight keycaps, and plate stabilizers. I was replacing my Drop V1 which i used near to death. (Software developer and gamer). It’s fricken perfect. It’s like an ASMR video. The feel is perfect and the sound is perfect and… i hate you.. you’ve created the perfect keyboard for me and now nothing else will do. I’ve ordered the parts to resurrect my Drop v1 into a v2.
A very good keyboard but missing some options from v1
Overall I like the build better than my other v1 keyboards.
I built it using the Drop phantom stabilizers and some Zealios 65g switches.
The board it very sturdy and pleasant to use. The fact that the board can be customized with VIA or Drop configurator is nice.
However I'm very disappointed that it doesn't seem possible to customize the led per key - overall the CTRL v2 seems to lack some customization options that the v1 has.
This was genuinely on me because I was new to the keyboard scene and thought stabilizers were universal so when I bought a set of screw in stabs it caused some clearance issues and I had to return them and got some plate mounted ones. Other than that slip up the board was easy to assemble and great to use.
