Hello, I have been debating getting this keyboard for a while but I haven’t found a switch/keycap combo I like on the fully built keyboard listing, so I might get the barebones option instead. Could you confirm that if I get the barebones version of this keyboard, the only additional things I’ll need are switches and key caps?
I have v1 of both the standard and high profile. The standard one is flat, and has two magnetic risers that you can use to prop it up at a couple of different angles. The high profile version is angled on the top face which, iirc is 15 degrees. The high profile fixed angle is a little steeper than the standard with the risers. The high profile feels better to me, but that's a personal preference thing.
I have v1 of this keyboard, and really enjoy it for heavy typing. v1 has some issues using a USB-C cable to plug it in, especially with macs. Some USB-C cables work, but most do not. Most of my rabbit holing on this issue blames power, and it seems to be the more advanced cables do a better job of controlling the power, and therefore not allowing enough for the drop keyboards. I see that v2 also comes with a USB-A to USB-C cable. Does that mean that the same C to C issues will apply with this model, and nothing was done to address this issue?
