Works perfect, now with support for 5 pin switches.
Unfortunately, screw-in stabs still not properly supported.

Done with Drop
Never purchasing from Drop again. Overpriced, defective products. Every board I've gotten from them has been defective in one way or another, usually ghosting keys. Customer service is an unhelpful joke as well. Made no real attempt to help me troubleshoot. They provided a firmware file that was not even compatible with their actual firmware updater, and then told me to figure it out myself. They also fail to honor state-backed warranties, which introduces some interesting legal concerns.

Great improvement over V1
Much more versatile, can now take 5 pin switches. Also, more stable / reliable, removed my multi-press issues that I had with v1.

The fit is perfect.
Looks solid, didn't notice anything soldered weird. Direct replacement. Fits great. I wish it would have been a bit cheaper. Would have scored six stars if it had south facing LED's.

A bit expensive, but nice to finally be 5-pin
Not a ton has changed from v1, but it was nice to finally get 5-pin support. Works as expected so no complaints there, just wish it was a bit cheaper.

Refresh your old CTRL
This updated board can replace your old CTRL or be inserted into a CTRL case (standard or high profile). I added a CTRL foam kit to mine, resulting in what comes with the V2 keyboards. The many new LED effects are a nice addition. Just wish the board was a little less expensive.

Does what a PCBA does
Has the 5pin and minor quirks with memory fixed over my V1. Needed another PCBA for another build, but not really much else to it.

Adds much-needed 5 pin switch support to the Drop CTRL
An improvement over the original Drop CTRL PCB mainly because of the much needed addition of 5 pin switch support. Everything else is pretty similar.

- Bootmagic reset: Hold down the key at (0,0) in the matrix (usually the top left key or Escape) and plug in the keyboard
- Physical reset button: Quickly double-tap the button located under the spacebar
- Keycode in layout: Press the key mapped to QK_BOOT if it is available
For most people, you do not need to concern yourself with this part; you can still easily flash the keyboard for your keymaps with the reset button:- The reset button below the spacebar isn't a DFU (factory) bootloader trigger. If you ever need to re-flash the bootloader itself (for example, to reinstall TinyUF2), you'll need to short the BOOT0 pin (pin 60) to 3.3 V (VCC, pin 64) on the MCU while plugging in the keyboard to enter the STM32's built-in DFU mode.
Hardware and software-wise, I think they made pretty good decisions. However, their customer service is neither very professional nor well-trained to answer deep, technical questions. I personally do not trust what they say and would rather do my own research. Here's to another 5+ years of use.
