ExorizI'd say it would do well - at least as good as normal single pole mid like the MLD DuoMid. With more headroom it does have more side area exposed to the wind, but it also has smaller panels and peak guylines. Single pole mids don't normally have peak guylines, but when you deploy these on the X-Mid is gets really strong. I think the X-Mid would do about as well as you could reasonably expect. If you think your use case is particularly extreme, you may be better off with a 4-season mountaineering tent.

I don't think you need any special tents for that, unless you're talking about other season than summer
