A new profile has come to light here on Drop. It’s the next member of our Drop Cylindrical family—with profiles like DCX (Drop Cylindrical X) and DCD (Drop Cylindrical Dye-Sub)—and it’s bringing shine-through to an already exceptional blueprint. Say hello to DCL (Drop Cylindrical Lumen)—launching here in the classic-black DCL Shadow Keycap Set, first unveiled on our CSTM80 Keyboard. Front and center, you’ll notice DCL Shadow’s front-facing, shine-through legends, laser etched to exacting tolerances for precise illumination that leaves an ultra-minimalist look up top. We took over 2 years to meticulously create the Drop Cylindrical experience, crafting a subtly sculpted top that’s both familiar and undeniably unique. The profile itself is on the shorter side, but these ABS caps are among the thickest at their size, delivering a sturdy feel with excellent durability. Experience these and the many additional benefits of DCL—including truly hidden sprue marks, strong shine resistance, and more—with DCL Shadow: the perfect counterpart to every lightshow.

With fan-favorite, five-star profiles like DCX (Drop Cylindrical X) and DCD (Drop Cylindrical Dye-Sub), the Drop Cylindrical family of keycap profiles was no less than a labor of love. The newest member of that family—DCL (Drop Cylindrical Lumen)—was more like a labor of light. Where the first two profiles sport standard top-oriented legends, DCL features front-facing, laser-etched legends for a sleek shine-through aesthetic to showcase your keyboard’s backlighting. Of course, DCL still retains the shorter, subtly sculpted shape and overall build quality of the Drop Cylindrical family. The embodiment of our newest, most exacting build processes, DCL keycaps are made from ultra-substantial, proprietary ABS material that’s neither shiny nor hollow-sounding. For a truly blemish-free look that lasts, each keycap’s sprue mark is located on its interior (rather than on a finished side, like many caps). Look closely at the legends, and you’ll find next to no flaws there either, since each one is laser-etched within ultra-precise tolerances. It’s a new standard in shine-through typing.
