This was my first DCX set, but it definitely won't be my last. I think it's important that we have consistently in-stock, high quality cherry-profile (adjacent) sets, especially with all of the drama with GMK group buys lately.
The caps are high quality, very nice and thick. They are also textured in a very pleasant way, and I love typing on them. The color is a tad different from the pictures but nowhere near as much as one of the reviews made it out to be (my set at least). They convey the sound of my board very well, makes my board sound nice and poppy.
If you like the color portrayed in the screenshots, then go for it-- it's a very simple, high quality set.
My pictures differ from each other in color a bit because I have an overhead lamp. I intentionally kept it on since lots of people have lamps on their desk, and thus it would simulate what their board would look like from different angles.
As I was searching for a deep red, I kept looking around and saw SwagKeys' La Vie En Rose, but the limited availability and honestly inconsistent photos I found of it caused me a bit of pause.
However, I consistently kept coming back to Drop DCX Garnet. I have about 6 other DCX sets and I love the quality so naturally I was curious, so I took the leap.
I was concerned mostly that the keycaps would be BRIGHT Cherry apple red, but that was not the case. The red is a deep, rich red without being so bright that it hurts your eyes. It's a soothing and absolutely gorgeous red that just fits on a desktop. It's earthy, it's comforting and it matched exactly what I had been looking for. So naturally I wanted the Keeb cap to come with it.
If you're on the fence for Garnet, take the plunge. I'm 100% satisfied.
It’s more of a burgundy than red as others have noted, but this is one of my favorite DCX sets to date. Surprisingly goes well with a lot of different colored cases, red on red is my preference! Will share a picture once my red Neo65 arrives.
Vintage Vibe Meets Modern Quality: A Win with the DCX Garnet
Love the deep red with the off-white letters – gives off a cool vintage, dark academic vibe. They're pretty versatile in terms of matching most keyboards. Plus, the quality? Top-notch. Any of those little spacing issues from the first DCX sets? Gone. Super happy with these and totally worth the buy
An excellent example of how to do a bold mono-color set. The red here is rich and thoroughly saturated with a touch of a Violet shift to make it darker. Build quality and kitting is also good, par for the course with DCX. Highly recommended if you're looking for a bit of red velvet in your life.
I bought the Keeb Key to see if I’d like this color in person before committing to a full base set. The red is pretty, but the quality control leaves a lot to be desired. See for yourself:

I’ve ordered Keeb Keys in other colorways and none of them came out as poorly as this.
I’m reporting this QC issue to Drop, I’ll edit this review with their response.
