This colorway was made for white boards.

Or acrylic boards. The white legends are sharp against this moody blue that’s hard to pin down. It’s not too saturated, and there’s a bit of wintergreen in there, too. It definitely has a wintry feel to it—which is why it looks so good on white or clear boards. As for quality, DCX is comparable to GMK, imo. I can’t speak to mods as I don’t use them in my builds (40s Ortho) but the alphas are just as nice as my GMK sets, and the keycaps are thick, they don’t feel cheap at all.

Simple, yet elegant

My initial impression when this was first announced was that this was too simple and perhaps not interesting enough. Well, that opinion didn’t last long as each time I saw it I liked it more. I love it now. Look folks: it’s like a yeti in its visual grace. And the way DCX colors pop… 🧑‍🍳 😘

Great alternative to GMK

Overall these are great keycaps (especially with the updated legends) that are comparable to GMK but in stock and often a good amount cheaper. Additionally the base kit is quite complete for my needs, and the colors are quite nice.

Looks great, definitely on par with GMK

The color comes across really well and the alpha legends even seem slightly crisper than GMK. Not sure why Drop bothered to make their own profile just to make it so similar to cherry, is there a licensing fee associated with cherry profile? Not sure but regardless, it’s not a bad thing that they’re so similar. the first thing I noticed upon opening the box was how secure the keys are in the plastic tray. 100% the best packaging I’ve received keycaps in. also, I can’t understate my appreciation for Alice-layout coverage

Winter Wonderland

Looks GREAT and sounds pretty good too. Very clean presentation and looks good on a silver or white board. The colorway is just exotic enough to draw attention without being garish. My first experience with DCX - I typically favor higher profiles like MT3 or SA. It's an adjustment from those but so far I'm enjoying it a lot on my daily driver.

Simply Excellent

Permafrost is a simple two-color colorway that just works. It has the same quality present in other DCX keycaps and features the updated kitting of Drop's second DCX keycaps. It won't fit on as many keyboards as a more neutral colorway, but it looks great on what it does fit.
