NagusameBOOOOOO, give me the foams! Sure you have to cover them in spit and then smash them up and then do the old Ear Rape 4 dance (save me the PC comments about that phrase I've had the 4's for decades, it is what it is) but it's the best seal by far.
frontsidebusI've been looking to get the small foams (beige ones) which fit my ears much better than the default gray ones and they're out of stock for like half a year now. Got tired of waiting and ordered the double flanges, gotta use the device somehow anyway..
You joke, but personally, I’ve always had unusually good success with Etymotic fit and comfort. Many buds exert noticeable pressure on my ear canals (I can’t even wear the Audeze iSine IEMs with the smallest tips), but the thin nozzles and flexible Ety tips fit me well (even curve around the bend in my ear canal) and provide frankly the best isolation so I don’t need loud volume settings. That said, they also require more ear wax management/cleaning.
EvshrugI wear ER4XRs while drumming, triple flange deep fits me so well. I kind of conditioned my ears by just "wearing them" as often as possible - now nothing else compares. I have nice Westone CIEMs that hug my concha, and feel really great to play as a guitar monitor, but when I want to hear everything, and nothing... I'm going deep.
I just grabbed these ERX to see if they're going to fit the bill better than both - because it looks like they might just be my jam.
I sure hope you take a few seconds to play comments like this in your head before you post.... because then you'd deserve a golf clap! If not, well then I just feel horrible about that massive head trauma you suffered ;)
