When I first was considering getting into the hobby, the R1 of these keycaps was on pre-order, and I loved the look of them so much I almost ordered them just to have them. In the past year, I've really taken a deep dive into the world of mechanical keyboards, and I always wished I had pulled the trigger on these. Luckily, they decided to do an R2, and I snatched them up immediately!
In my opinion, the best thing about these keycaps is how much the colors pop. No pictures can truly do them justice. They look amazing.
This is my first set of GMK caps. The color options on GMK's are great, but I've never wanted to drop the money when I've been very happy with MT3's and DCX's I've gotten through drop sales. I still don't know if I'll purchase another GMK set anytime soon, but these keys are great to type on, and I have no reservations or regrets about potentially using them for my daily.
My build I'm using them on is a Keychron K2 Pro with Elf Ultra-Silent Switches (tactile/purple). I hand lubed the switches and tape modded the K2 Pro with painters tape. Sitting on my desk mat, I can hardly hear the keyboard in front of me as I type on it. Any sound at all is coming from the keycaps, and it's incredibly minimal. The GMK keys are thick and do not add unwanted clacky sound to your build.
If you're on the fence at all, buy these.
I love the way these keycaps look on my green Planck. The neon green legends really pop against the purple background, and with the apple green case to complement it? Just gorgeous.

I’m also happy GMK has responded to feedback and improved their packaging somewhat. The base kit was shipped in two trays which locked tightly together with a cover on top, and then all that was stuffed into a box sleeve. This is better than their old way of shipping caps, with no cover in a loose sleeve, so when you unpacked it all the keycaps were scattered everywhere.
It’s still not as good as Drop’s plastic trays and boxes, but it’s better. Only a few keycaps were jostled out of place.
I waited almost two years for this set, and I can honestly say it was worth the wait.
The colors of this set are just as vibrant in person as they are on the product page.
The keys have a very satisfying clack with my Morandi switches.
The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is I really wish there were more options in the novelty set for the higher rowed oversized keys.
These went on my new daily driver:
Kezewa Enter67 Anodized Purple
WS Morandi Linear Switches
Gatreon Ink V2 Stabs
GMMK Numpad
I love these keycaps! The colours are amazing, and as an added bonus I feel they're a great match for the Stellar65. Key's feel solid, well made, very, VERY happy with these!
The set is incredibly vibrant and the lettering sharp and clear. The colour of GMK sets always far surpasses dye-sub keycaps. The packaging of the main set is nice with the enclosed box (Wow!) and nifty labelling matching the anime it is based on (That’s crazy!). Love the set and its theming being Eva *cough* I mean Mecha-01.

Now for my gripes.
-The delay. It was only a month-ish which isn’t bad in the grand scheme of things, and normal for GMK these days, but still if you advertise a date for completion and don’t update on delays until the last moment, it can quite stressing for some customers.
-Extras packaging. Just not a fan of how they’re packaged, surely there’s a better way? Like a one size fits all tray with blank spaces for extras.
-Minor mark on the space bar. It’s small, but it’s obviously there. Quite distracting whenever it catches my eye, and incredibly disappointing considering my other GMK sets, including Mecha-01 R1, do not have this issue. You pay a premium for GMK because it’s a high quality set, not because it’s cheap and cheerful. I may have to contact drop support about this issue.
The Berserk Alphas set is awesome, with great quality and a striking design. The vibrant colors take me back to the magic of watching Neon Genesis Evangelion years ago. A must-have for any fan.
