I have seen god now

So Ive always kind of thought lubing your switches was like the keeb equivalent of smelling your own farts. Like, I'm sure if you were into it, it was cool, but it wasn't for me. Or so I thought. I just swapped out my Holy Panda switches for these lubed switches, and I have seen god. Nothing will ever matter to me anymore.

The Holiest of Pandas

For the past year, I’ve been using primarily linears, but I’ve had to admit that I missed the physical feeling of clickies. The punchy response. Last November I read Theramin Goat’s review of the Holy Panda X from DROP, and ordered two sets. A week later, I ordered 2 more… They were exactly what I was looking for! After spending an exorbitant amount of time hand lubing and filming them, I installed them in the hotswap PCB of my favorite keyboard, the Arc60. It was heaven. They were punchy with a distinct audio response, and the “bump” from the tactile switch gave me everything I’d wanted for my typing experience. Last week, I received my finalized box of hand-lubed HPX’s, and spent some time opening switches, observing the way they were lubed, and comparing them to a) stock “dry” b) my lube/filmed c)the initial hand-lubed from DROP and d) the current release of hand-lubed HPX from DROP, and the winner by a landslide is the current hand-lubed switches from DROP. They’re better than mine in just about every way, and are now a solid 10/10 for me. Sure, I would love it if they were filmed, but the sound and feel is better than my filmed ones. They have zero scratchiness that can be found in stock dry HPX’s, they’re super smooth, have a great tactile bump, and the lube is expertly applied. I was blown away by how consistent the lube was in amount and application. Very impressive for hand-lubed switches! I took the opportunity to mount these to my solder pcb in the Arc60, and completed a plateless build to really capture the sound of the HPX’s. It’s been nothing short of spectacular, and I’m thrilled with the energy these things have! Hand-lubed Holy Panda X’s are punchy, fun, energetic and exciting to type on. I highly recommend them, and hope you like them nearly as much as I do.

Shockingly good to be honest

After spending hours lubing a set of 100 Zealio V2's even tho I loved how they felt, I just could not bring myself to spend all that time again for my next build. Grabbed 3x sets of these on sale, I think these are more consistent than mine and they feel fantastic, super smooth, no ping, all of them seem to feel the same. People like to hate on Drop sometimes, but I have to say... I am very impressed with these and I think they deserve more attention than they have been getting.

A really good option

To start, I won a good coupon during the Hallowheel event and decided to pick these up. I received these not too long ago and decided to test them out between a few stock HPXs and some HPXs I lubed myself. The stock HPXs were detected almost immediately, and it was difficult to determine which of the lubed HPXs were the set I modded myself. Consistency of the lube job was also really good throughout the batch, with only 1 switch having less lube than the others in the switches received. If you've got the cash and like the sound and feel of Panda style switches, give them a shot.

Surprising pricing on sale... Good Deal... Would like a 10 pack too

Grabbed these on sale for cheaper than the other pre-loobed services. They are quick keys and nice to type on. However, the sets of 35 is a bit annoying when you have a 75 keyboard (like the drop sense) so you end up with a lot of extra keys. I will probably pop these off the daily driver and put the boba-ut4x back on and use these on my gaming keyboard that's a fullsize 100 keys to take advantage. Would love if they could offer a 5 or 10 pack on these style switches for a small premium per switch to help the feel bad with 30 extra's on their premier keyboard. These inter-departments should really talk to each other about their products to make them work better together.
