Hey everyone,
The Holy Panda X Switches have arrived and are being shipped as we speak. We expect all orders from both preorder batches to have shipped by early next week, a full 2-3 weeks ahead of schedule!
We're just about sold out on Batch #2 of the Holy Panda X switches, and Batch #3 will go on-sale on Monday April 4th. This production batch of 10,000 units has been delayed to May 15th, so we've decided to extend our pre-order discount until we've received sufficient inventory to sell the product with immediate shipping.
I walked this "line" for a year or more where I was saying ("& thinkin'") that I preferred the Holy Pandas to the Panda X. I've got lube. I actually got around to trying them out (amongst a pile of various switch selections). When lubed, for a "60g spring" (or whatever the spec reads as...), it does work nicely in "high fidelity" situations in gaming. I'm "mega" old school (Commodore 64) and play games like Sekiro with a high mouse sensitivity and they "keyboard". The "clickety clack" feature (even when lubed) of these switches, vs the more "thomp thocc" stuff from the regular Holy Pandas, DOES translate FOR ME in gaming situations.
I DON'T CARE what your reflection on these particulars comments above are unless it's "mighty bright".
As far as the "typist" side goes, I imagine that's why I prefer the regular Holy Pandas. More constructive conversations create a deeper orientation and spectrum for people to participate in.
GMNat0127Think I watched ("caught them") some comparo videos on Youtube for the "noises" and differentiation as far as the "sounds" go, say about a year ago or whatever.
Off initial impressions, these switches seem, to me, as having a lot of thought put into them to exact what the creators wanted. Perhaps the presentation is "articulated" by now seeing as the regular Holy Pandas came out first. I prefer the Holy Pandas (perhaps and "so far...") over the X for the sound they make. This runs along with the idea that I have using Cherry SilentReds and Gateron SilentReds and SilverSpeeds along with the Aliaz Silent Tacticals in/on gaming keyboards (and/or) I am mixing them all up.
I am currently at the position of: "Although I think I prefer the regular Pandas, having a completely assembled keyboard with only Panda X equipped and having all the switches lubed perfectly would be a very interesting."
One can easily feel the "rebound" on these keys versus the regular Pandas.
Has anyone had any issues with double-typing? A few of my switches seem to start having this issue, but it goes away for a little while if I take the switch out and then put it back in. I'm using them in a low-profile ALT keyboard currently, and the Halo True switches that used to be in it never had this problem.
isaacthetanSame, but still manageable with a switch puller. This may be due to 5 pin legs holding sturdier, which is actually a good sign for stability.
Anybody else having a hard time removing these? I have experienced this on both GMMK Pro - Aluminum and Keychron K2, so I can say it's not the plate(s). I wrecked 3 switches before figuring out if I pull them at an angle toward me, I can remove them without damage (south-facing pcb).
The LED side of the switch has no give for the tabs when using a switch puller. The whole LED side is shallower compared to other switches, and so the cutout that would let the tabs recede is non-existent. Basically unable to remove them without damaging. :-(
I just got these today and have done a very small amount of testing. So far I have to say I really like the sharp tactile feeling. So much so that I thought I'd write this message even though it'll be a much longer time until I'm sure that I love them.
Got my 3 sets delivered yesterday, finally had time to install them in my keyboard. I have to say I do like them. They sound nice and feel good to type on.
