Hey! I've just ordered 70 of these to fit my Planck coming soon! I'm trying to find lube and a keyswitch opener to be ready when they will arrive but I had some trouble to find them. The website switchmod.net should have trybosys 3203 for a short time each day right? But, where can I buy a switch opener that can open the holy panda? Kbdfans one are sold out :( Thanks a lot for the help <3

SneyekIf you have or have access to a 3D printer, you can find files online to print. Alternatively, you can pay for a print off a site like Shapeways. I use SLA printed ones that work very well (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2775085). The slight flexibility of the plastic is better able to accommodate variances between switches than switch openers made of metal. I have used these to open Holy Panda switches.

Thanks Elbert ! I don't have access to a printer for the moment, but I'll take a look at this website, I wasn't sure if plastic openers are strong enough but it seems to be! I'll give them a chance, thanks ;)

SneyekSure thing. I cannot vouch for ones off Shapeways as I have not tried them myself, but plastic ones are certainly viable. Note that Shapeways says they use Nylon, which is less rigid than resins typically used in SLA printers. Without trying them, I cannot say if it would result in better or worse performance compared to what I have. But I'd wager they work fine.

Anyway, I just have 48 switches to open for my planck, it should be good. I'll buy a metal one on next drop or KBDFans restock and with both I should be ok for my other keyboards :D

SneyekAuramech sells the same KBDfans opener and he said he should be getting a restock in either this week or next.

cmauler68Oh thanks a lot ! I'll keep an eye on this website, I haven't ordered anything yet. For people who read this comment and don't know where to find lube, the website switchmod.net does have lube on stock, it only accept 50 order per day, the stock are available from a specific hour of the day. (2pm for me in Montreal)

SneyekSwitchmod didn’t used to do that but with everything going on he had to. Also auramech is in Toronto. I know Canada imports can be made expensive so I hope that helps.
