We teamed up with MiTo to create GMK Trader: a keycap set with a truly impressive portfolio. Inspired by the day-trading terminals of the 1990s and early 2000s, GMK Trader features a sophisticated dark-gray style—while giving you the option to diversify with brighter-colored add-on kits Read More

Hey everyone—we have an important update regarding the Drop + MiTo GMK Trader Custom Keycap Set buy.
With all the projects we had in process for this season, we were not able to get them all done in the timeframe we originally planned. We're sorry for that and our lackluster communication on the matter, but now we have everything finalized with GMK.
We've been working with them to reschedule the projects that were supposed to launch this quarter, and they have been responsive. We now expect GMK Trader delivered to our warehouse no later than the end of March 2023 and ship out to everyone shortly after.
We apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience while we work to get everything shipped as quickly as possible. As usual, you can review your order at any time by going to your transactions page here: https://drop.com/transactions
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
There are two pictures of the Hobbyist kit, and the R3 1.75 key legend is different between the two. Picture 09/13 shows "Caps Lock" while picture 13/13 shows "Control". Which one is correct?
ignoring the drama here. The base kit color way, compatibility and a set of Mac mods made this an automatic buy for me. Skipping all the meme accent keys etc.
IMHO something about this design just feels kinda rushed. I really really like the zoomer kit colors and overall look, but not a fan at all that the sublegends are so tacky. I assume $SIGP stands for signature plastics... isn't that kinda strange to print on the front of a GMK keycap? Also what's with the mixed theming? We've got a few random brands, plastic types, and.... bitcoins? Why not do all different currency types and leave out the stupid in-jokes? Or just use the trader front legends on the zoomer kit colors? Also the rest of the set & renders kinda just feels thrown together. Just bothers me so much because the zoomer kit looks so good but those tacky front legends ruin the whole thing.
GMK needs a major reboot. Not really the fault of the designers trying to satisfy demand, but such a glut of mediocrity. So many sets that are a minor variation on one or more previous sets that end up looking so same-same. Would love to see what GMK can do with PBT and/or more flexible kitting. I'm a big fan of ePBT (GOK x BoW looks and feels amazing) and especially KAT/KAM (look and typing feel), it's just a shame that Keyreative hasn't been able to get their mfg and qc ducks in a row. SA and MT3 for hi-pro keep it interesting too.
mrvcowhy would GMK do PBT? Their core business is ABS. It works, look how many sets they have in the queue and in production? Hobby just blew up and so much more crap hits moq.
I'd still rather wait for GMK than all these Chinese manu's found on Aliexpress making stolen IP sets.
mrvcoGmk isn't the problem. They make a niche product and they do it very well. I hate the new trays but otherwise I think they're doing fine.
If you're worried about kitting and colorways, why are you blaming gmk? They have nothing to do with either. Gmk just executes the designs they're given. If you don't like the designs, blame the designers.
