I have ErgoDox Infinity boards that have awful plate-mount stabs on the large thumb keys. Can I use / mod this kit to fit 4x 2u keys?

The Infinity boards were from a before time when discussion for stabilizers revolved around Costar vs Cherry. The Infinity Ergodox was designed with Costar stabilizers.
It is possible to mod the Infinity Ergodox to use the Phantom stabilizers - but you'd need new plates cut. it's definitely a very advanced "mod" if you can even call it that.

Do these require lube to sound decent, or are they good to go out of the box? I'm not really looking for something to match the quality of screw in stabs, just a hassle free upgrade for plate mount-only boards.

good out of the box. i have never used lube for keyboard parts and these are perfectly silent.

Is it better to clip 2 legs for better sound? After lubing this is sounding fine though.
