We’ve been releasing a veritable bounty of new plates for the SENSE75—and they just keep getting softer and softer. Next up is the Drop SENSE75 POM Plate, which is made of polyoxymethylene (POM): an engineering thermoplastic with high stiffness, low friction, and strong dimensional stability. Second only to polycarbonate in softness and lightness, POM offers some rigidity and density while still being softer than the SENSE75’s stock aluminum plate, or our recent FR4 and carbon fiber plates. In the SENSE75, it offers excellent sound absorption to provide a more muted, deeper, and full typing sound. Due to its flexibility, the SENSE75 POM Plate also reduces tactility versus our stock aluminum, carbon fiber, or FR4 plates. Of course, like our other plates, this one comes with gaskets pre-installed to maintain the SENSE75’s central gasket sound and feel. If you’re on team soft, silent, and somewhat-rigid, it’s time to get your POM-(poms) out.
Note: This plate does not screw to the PCB. It is held in place by the case and switches.
