Buy based on the design

The design is the real seller here, so make sure you can pair it with things that match (or contrast) the red color well. It looks redder in the pictures than it actually is; it is more of a burgundy red in real life. The actual material does feel quality as always, so the only concern while buying is if you like the look!

The center is silver, not gold

The center doesn’t have the Spartan bronze, as the picture shows. Instead, it’s a milky silver that makes the shield in the center of the deskmat look like the paper plates my mother bought from the grocery store circa 1991-1997. Honestly, if your goal is to Spartan kick people who want to save the environment from disposable dishware, this deskmat is for you!
