This is a great set have in my collection. The caps feel solid, as do all the MT3 caps. The MT3 profile may not be for everyone though. It's a little thinner and there is a more noticeable concave top. Just might take some getting used to. I am supper happy with them though and really like the aesthetic of the set. No modifiers yet, but maybe down the road. The set didn't come with a modified space bar, like all the other LOTR sets have, so that was a little disappointing, but other then that no complaints. Have to have these in my collection.
EDIT: Original review below. For transparency I'm updating with Drop's newest message-- I was given a $10 bonus refund, and told that they really are trying to make a new set again, possibly in March. So here's hoping that both Durin's Forge and Autumn in Rivendell get the reissues they need, for everyone to complete their keycap collections. For communication, and out of a hope that they really will follow through, I'm bumping up my rating from 1 to 3 stars.
I purchased the Dwarven Keycap set with the Extras and the Durin's Forge set; I didn't think that the base set alone looked great, but I thought together with the orange accents it looked incredible. Low and behold, Drop emails me today to inform me that they're refunding me for the Durin's Forge set because they ran out of stock. They sold me a keycap set that apparently they just didn't have. It is, obviously, very good that they refunded me for the set, but I wish I'd known at the time of my order that they were out, because I wouldn't have ordered the base set if I knew the orange accents were going to be unavailable. Worse still, the email indicates that they have no idea if they're going to ever have the Durin's Forge set back in stock again. I've been waiting for the Autumn in Rivendell set to return, and it looks like I'm out of luck on both fronts.
Starting a line like this and not supporting the supplements properly is already frustrating, but being so opaque with your stock that you're selling and then refunding phantom sets to people makes it all much worse. If you plan on picking up any of the Lord of the Rings keycaps, go for the one-and-done sets, because you'll never know if they'll drop the ball again on stocking the accents.
Quality is good, but if you have never used a blank keycap set (or in this case dwarvish), do think about the traning/hardcore pick. You could end up not knowing where your keys are haha
High quality, MT3 profile remains unmatched. Legends stay in good condition for 6 months but don't scrub with strong solvents- only water and a soft cloth.
