This is my first tkl keyboard (minus one star because I wish it came in a full size keyboard) and it has taken some time to get used to. I switch to this from a Durgod keyboard and I like the feel of the key caps and build better then the durgod. I do miss my numpad, but over all if you like lord of the rings this is a great buy.
I am overall satisfied with this keyboard; however, I am disappointed that the red space bar on the Lord of the Rings keyboard does not function properly and gets stuck when pressed. Despite this issue, I use the gray one, and it's fine
If you are in Europe don't even think about getting this
While the design of this keyboard initially caught my attention, I regret purchasing it due to several disappointing factors:
From the moment I touched it, the quality felt like that of a typical mid-range keyboard you'd find on AliExpress or Amazon for a fraction of the price. The keys are very small, and it's easy to press two at once by accident. The base's height is also quite excessive, so using it without a wrist rest makes it uncomfortable. Additionally, the lack of bumps on the F and J keys means you'll need to look down frequently while typing, which is inconvenient.
The switch quality didn’t meet my expectations either, giving the keyboard a cheap, low-end feel. It certainly doesn't compare to higher-end models that are available for a similar price.
Shipping took an incredibly long time, especially if you're outside the US, and when it finally arrived, I was hit with an additional €32 VAT charge, which I wasn't reimbursed for. What’s more frustrating is that returning the product is at your own expense—costing me an extra €50 to get rid of it. If I thought the keyboard was even decent, I would have gladly kept it to avoid such a high return fee.
In conclusion, I strongly advise against purchasing this keyboard. It’s not worth the money, and there are far better options available. If you really want a LOTR design, consider printing your keys online and you’ll end up with much better quality for a similar price.
Bought it as a 2024 Christmas gift! He’s really happy with it! Design are great, it’s a huge statement on his desk. We added a few keycaps (will probably buy more) to make te set more Lotr looking. He says it’s even better after the switches were lubed!
Bought this keyboard for my bf and he absolutely loved it. I was so impressed with the level of detail on the keys and also how expensive and heavy it felt. Looks and feels like a luxury keyboard and the sound of the keys are great. Highly recommend, makes such a good gift.
It is solid and works fine, but the switches are quite hard and lose sensitivity so fast and may miss some clicks on them. Also customs from my country has charge me almost 100$ extra for the keycap, cable and keyboard combo that is actually 250$ and i my package was missed for almost a month...
In fact i love the visual of this keyboard and im for sure custom this one with a better pcb and switches.
JanagareytorHad mine less than a year and the A switch failed. The side of the stem started to crumble and the debris started to cake up and prevent it from actuating. When i tried to wiggle it free the entire switch housing bent and completely broke. I'm very upset for the amount I paid.
I love how the Black Speech theme was executed, definitely one of the most beautiful board I own. I was quite pleasantly surprised with how I sound, I just wish the backlighting was red or orange rather than white.
