View Full Discussion It ended up buried in a comment thread, but this THX AAA technology was first commercially used for a consumer product (as far as I know) in the Benchmark Media AHB2. To those that doubt the measurements, go read the article and measurements there: https://www.stereophile.com/content/benchmark-media-systems-ahb2-power-amplifier Benchmark wanted to make an amplifier that could match the performance of their DACs, and THX AAA was what they ended up using...that says a lot. Obviously it's not an identical product, but the same base technology can clearly produce the kind of numbers provided for this amplifier.
One other thing...the AHB2 is a 'class A' (top grade) Stereophile recommendation, for $3000. The other amps in that class are hugely more expensive, up to the stupid audiophile level. Whatever you might think of that publication, that also says a lot.
