Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. It looks very interesting, and certainly I’m tempted by the prospect, but expecting people to wait until Halloween with absolutely nothing but hearsay for their $350? Please stop emulating Kickstarter, Massdrop. Or if you must, move these projects to another website that’s meant for crowdfunded projects... because in case anyone didn’t realize, that’s exactly what you’ve bought into here. 😉
No graphs, measurements, etc... means there's no finished product to objectively contrast to your money. Essentially it's a Kickstarter. You're paying for a product before they even have tangible samples to show off.
I don't come to Massdrop to fund Kickstarters. If other people do, fine, but I'm just putting in my opinion.
As for the 789's sound, I'm happy to say that it measures this way and it sounds great, too -- that's the easiest kind of story to tell. I'll say more about it after CanJam SoCal. I'm sorry this measurement is only being posted now -- we've been swamped with three CanJams in a row (NYC, Singapore, and now SoCal).
