A wonderful cable to enhance an already wonderful keyboard
This will be a brief review as it's difficult to write much about a cable, but nonetheless:
This cable is a great bonus if you're looking to enhance your Drop ALT or CTRL keyboard. I purchased the 6-ft cable myself. I find that the cable is not only a perfect visual accent to the keyboard, bearing the sleek Drop logo, but also is a hearty replacement to the stock rubber-sleeved cable that came with the board. The braid on the cable is thick and durable, but still flexible and slim enough to accommodate a cable-heavy builder, and it should slip nicely into any cable-management system. The connections on each end are discreet and of a smaller profile, making them unobtrusive to other cables and are made of a strong metal material that should keep them from wearing.
Overall, this is an amazing addition to your Drop keyboard or any other USB-C keyboard. It communicates with very low latency and adds that extra bit of style to your build. Now, if only it were available in black... ;)
Seems well made. It's 60 inches, give or take a few inches. I use it on the other side of my Drop ALT to connect to and and charge my Keychron K6 that I use for gaming or my to charge my phone. I thought that it was a little pricey compared to another one I saw on Amazon after for $9.99. There were other s even cheaper options. However I have after ordering the 9.99 one that looked like it was made well, I found out it wasn't as well made as the drops and it will not charge while allowing you to use it at the same time. If you want to just charge something, go with a cheaper one, but if you want to use a mouse or another keyboard through your ALT or Ctrl or other driver, get this one.
It's just a USB-C cable, but what I love about it is the quality feel and tactile experience of the braided cloth. The connectors click in satisfyingly to my MacBook. Why waste money on Amazon basics when you can spend a fraction more and get something quality that makes you proud of something small like a USB-C cable. Thanks, DROP, for making quality items that are worth the wait and appropriately priced.
It's a cable! Works well, very nice feeling fabric. The ends feel well built. Works nicely for other peripherals like usb 2.0 audio interfaces as well.
Every other 6+ft cable will not allow for rapid charging. My outlet is further away from my bed and the stock cables will not reach if I want to be on my phone in bed. This cable was the best sub $20 purchase I have made in years.
