It looks like I've located why Zambumon doesn't want to re-run/re-stick Mt3 Sekira on a Reddit thread discussing GMK lead times replying to user Drop's official user account drop_official. I'll post Zambumon's comment here in case anyone else comes across my comment and is curious: "Hey there, I've been asked by Drop to re-run/re-stock MT3 Serika several times.

I am not interested on having just one exclusive vendor located in the US to distribute the keycaps. This is a huge drawback to the SEA, CN, OCE, Canadian, and European communities that have to deal with international shipping, importing the product, or having a customer support team on a different timezone. That might have been fine five years ago, but not anymore.

The community has grown enough outside the US that I cannot justify locking everything to one region. While the US alone is still the biggest market, it accounts for "just" half of the orders and there are dozens of extremely professional vendors I've the pleasure to work with over the years. A company that has the budget and legal team that Drop has is capable of doing so, if they aren't it's because management is not interested on doing so.

Drop has no interest on re-making or using a different typeface for the doubleshot keycaps. Heck, you guys aren't even including a Commodore logo for MT3 Retro when it's precisely the only novelty it should have been included because it requires a new mold.

I've also asked Drop to retain full IP of all of the assets I produce (including typefaces).

The conversations I had about these topics with Drop ended up nowhere." - Zambumon Hopefully Drop can solve all of these issues.

fresh1024The typeface is there. The kits are there. And I’m sure Zam has a nice fat deposit in his bank account to boot. Good friggin job, Drop! Finally an actual keycap set for 2020’s. F13, stepped CTRL, Alice, 40’s, and that Typist kit (chef’s kiss).

YanboWuI am a 40s ortho user but want to have an option to go bigger /staggered also. Why is there no alphas | mods |40s separate kits here, I feel like I’m being forced into buying a second set of alphas for no reason… +$99 instead of some $40 that 40s mods could cost.

No, the designer had a bad experience with Drop and won't re-run it.

I'm not surprised, I've had nothing but bad experience with Drop and frankly all of my orders were lost. I even had some Drop Rewards I chose not to use because of the pathetic shipping experience.
