As a mac user, I was originally dissatisfied finding out that the key-mapper software would not work on OS. Having the CMD and Option keys swapped really drove me crazy...to the point I removed the Taurus from my desk and placed it in the closet.
A coworker suggested I download Karabiner to remap the keys (* not affiliated with them). Lo and behold, it worked like a charm. I wont go into detail about the build quality, since that has been reviewed all over. I just want to say that this keyboard is pretty badass when you can customize the layout. One caveat, I cant remap the Fn key. If anyone figures that one out, please reply. :)
For now, Mac OSX users can rejoice. Enjoy your new keeb, guys.
evansaysEvansays you don't need a mapping software to change those keys. Just go into your System Preferences, Keyboard, and click on the Modifier Keys button at the bottom right of the window. That will also allow you to change your Fn key.
Hands down one of the best keyboards I've ever purchased. I got both the white and the black - one has XDA Scrabble, one has SA Carbon. I'll never part with either. Both work perfectly.
FmendezcDefinitely!!! It's been my daily driver since I got it, and I love it. I changed the key caps, but that was just for aesthetics. I 100% recommend this board to anyone, especially for someone's first mechanical.
Absolutely destroys my Corsair on Cherry red in terms of quality. I actually prefer it over my Leopold (not just layout, I can't get used to Topre's tactile bump being right on top, also Leopold's backspace and enter are not that smooth). It's the smoothest board I've used (factory lubed stabilizers?) .
Only board I had chance to test and would take over this is Filco Majestouch 2, typing was just as smooth, but Filco keycaps sit deeper in the case. That's something I would improve on Durgod: raise case top by 2mm so keycap bottoms stop being visible. I'd also add set of legs in front (I never use back ones).
I'd buy another one right away if it came with Gateron Yellows, Kailh's Whites or any other not-too-heavy tactile switch.
great keyboard. there is a reason this keyboard has dropped three times within the last 6 months. From your first keyboard to your 10th keyboard this is a great addition for beginners and veterans a like. excellent stabilizers and quality double shot caps. $70? shut up and take my money.
Not disappointed. Got mine with Cherry MX Brown, so far, so good.
Only downside was the long delivery time and the pretty much no estimate or info about the product status.
LOVE this keyboard! Good weight, nice & sturdy. First time using brown switches and I love them. Very pleased with my purchase, and can't beat the price.
Fantastic keycaps (doubleshot PBT!), lubed stabilizers, and USB-C. Mine's been working perfectly with no issues straight out of the box for months now. The build quality is solid and makes for a nice sound (with Cherry MX Reds). The one tiny nitpick I can see some people having is that the bezels don't go up quite far enough to completely cover the switches, leaving a tiny gap between the start of the keycaps. I'd heartily recommend this, especially as an affordable starting board.
Love owning a mech keyboard again! after my last mech keyboard broke I made do with a coolermaster memchanical keyboard, seeing this keyboard for sale at such a good price was well worth the wait. The white keyboard matches my set up perfectly and I'm glad to have cherry blue switches again! for $70 i couldn't ask for anything especially the two usb c cables that are included and the keycap puller things keyboards twice this cost omit (atleast in my experience here in Australia) if you're wanting your first mechanical keyboard go ahead and purchase this you wont regret it!
