My partner introduced me to Dwarf Factory and I became intrigued and obsessed with all their projects but sadly couldn't partake in most of them since they're all only for a limited time. Luckily I found Drop and discovered that they also sold artisan caps from Dwarf Factory and some cool ones at that. One of them that stood out was the Wrecker which peaked my interest as I love keycaps that don't look like keycaps. Although I'm not sure what game this particular cap is referencing, I still picked it up and can say that it was well worth it. It does jut up a bit from my keyboard but that was because I picked SA format instead of OEM. Nonetheless, I feel even luckier now that the cap is no longer available, thanks Dwarf Factory for the cool caps!
Excellent build quality and color, and works for us Team Fortress 2 engies
The biggest drawback of custom keycaps is that no matter how amazing or beautiful they are, they dont match up well with every colorway, and their appearance doesn't necessarily serve a purpose. If I cant make the cap fit visually and "functionally", it stands out to me. The moment I saw this keycap I recognized the tools I use as an engineer in TF2. I realize that its actually based on another game, but as a lifelong player of a small niche game, I'll take it. It really does look like the engie's wrench, and ammo for the third level sentry gun. And the matte, saturated color of the keycap fits the TF2 theme as well.
Cl4r4n3tThat is the kind of harmony I try to shoot for with keycaps, its actually quite challenging and yours looks really good, the caps fit the colorway and theme nicely.
