I noticed it says compatible with Win 10 and 11. Does this product have to be connected to a PC somehow in order for it to work?
Have another version of this and the clock can be set and number style changed with buttons on the clock. Only needs power via USB-C to work.

gen 1 or gen 2?

Gen2 but it doesn't matter, it's the generation that allow it to work as it is intended. Even if it was gen 1, if gen 1 is enough to make it do what it needs to do then you are all good, plus you also save money by not putting a useless higher generation, meaning less manufacturing cost and less cost for the client

ScroogeMcDuckIt's useless thinking about it. Use it with the provided cables and everything will work, you don't need to know anything

oceanmoon449It matters if you are an Apple and Linux only user. Gen2 did away with the ability to set the date and time and sync to wifi from the base unit menu. So anyone without a Win10+ computer cannot make use of these Gen2 devices.

Does this come with the Steins;Gate branding? and is the Eleksmaker branding on the front removable?

The Eleksmaker branding is not removable, but it could be covered up because the labeling is flush with the rest of the surface. There is no SteinsGate branding.
