I noticed it says compatible with Win 10 and 11. Does this product have to be connected to a PC somehow in order for it to work?

Have another version of this and the clock can be set and number style changed with buttons on the clock. Only needs power via USB-C to work.

kbdobsessedPlease note Gen2, which this is, did away with the ability to set the date and time manually and sync to wifi from the base unit menu. It requires a Win10+ computer in order to do those things.

gen 1 or gen 2?

Gen2 but it doesn't matter, it's the generation that allow it to work as it is intended. Even if it was gen 1, if gen 1 is enough to make it do what it needs to do then you are all good, plus you also save money by not putting a useless higher generation, meaning less manufacturing cost and less cost for the client

Does this come with the Steins;Gate branding? and is the Eleksmaker branding on the front removable?

The Eleksmaker branding is not removable, but it could be covered up because the labeling is flush with the rest of the surface. There is no SteinsGate branding.
Is the housing made out of CNC aluminum?

It feels like plastic to me.
