It did take a reset to get both lights working with the remote. It's in the documentation that comes with them. But once I had everything working, they impressed me more than I thought they would.
I get it, 'what's to impress with lights, ' you ask?
First, they sit atop both of my monitors: an old Apple Displayport screen, which is very chunky, and a slim Dell, which works excellently. I felt confident in them sitting there and easily adjusted the angle to what I wanted on both.
There are no reflections on the glass-covered screen or the matt screen. There is no hint of color bias, even with the LEDs close to the top of the displays.
I have them powered via a USB-powered hub; each light requires its connection. The remote paddle takes two AAA batteries and is sensitive to the touch but not annoyingly.
Building quality is good; my only criticism is that I wish I could dim them more than the lowest setting allows, but that is a personal preference, I suspect.
