What is SpaceFN and why you should give it a try

On my imaginary top list of the most useful keyboard features, tweaks and hacks, SpaceFN would deserve a podium finish for sure. But what makes it so special? can membrane keyboard caps be fitted over the cherrys?
Regular membrane keyboard keycaps are not compatible with Cherry MX keyswitches. You would need to order keycaps from someplace like maxkeyboard, wasd, or signature plastics. Or possible find a cheap Cherry MX keyboard on Ebay and re-use those keycaps. Another option is to join a groupbuy either here at MassDrop, with signature plastics, or one run from an enthusiast site like geekhack.org or deskthority.
Thank you for the explanation, nomaded!
