I too have a glass desk and I used a piece of wood to fill in the gap/ give it more support and it works great. Also the 27in. restriction is for the VESA mount size. I mounted a 32 in. TV but bought an adapter to expand the 100 x 100 to 200 x 200, as long as it weighs less than 17lbs you should be good.

tlu973My monitors weigh 12.1 pounds each. However, the stands the monitors are on have giant footprints, which is why I'm looking into these mounts. There's not much option for me to use these on the frame of the desk. The glass covers the frame in such a way that minimal metal is exposed. How did you manage to get yours to work without ruining the desk/monitors/mount?
