I recently got this headset, and wow is it good. My only issue is when certain people talk on discord, I can hear a really high pitched ringing. I fiddled with a bunch of settings, computer audio and discord, and nothing seems to solve the issue. It is primarily if not all in my right ear only. Is there something wrong with my headset, or was that ringing always there I can just hear it cause the headset is THAT good? I haven't had any issues with any other application, though I have yet to test if I can hear the ringing on a different version of discord, say on my xbox instead of my pc. Only other issue I've had is occasional static, but I can't tell if it's from the headset or the show/game/etc.

Fact: you have desktop components Fact: I'm older than you
Edit: Why don't you look at the couple comments above this thread, mentioning some 2.5mm options (upsguys8848 and Cokeman)? Oh wait, you've said the cable you want isn't worth more than $30.
Funny thing being, of course, that he goes on about using a DAP with open backed headphones that are designed to be only used in quiet environments.
So he's either a troll or a clueless muppet. My money is on the latter.
1. False, I have a collection of Japanese receivers from the 70's a CD player and a turntable.
"Fact: I'm older than you"
2. And you know this how? I'm 49 and you seem like a millenial
"Fact: You can't see through your own self-centered desktop obsession, which led you to believe I am a millennial😩"
3. See #1.
"I can buy top-tier OFC cable for $5 a meter! Add the HD600 proprietary connectors and a 2.5mn jack and it can be done for $10. Add $20 profit and that's all it's worth. You victims are used to being ripoed-off. "
4. So why are you on whining about not being able to pay $70 for a cable with a 2.5mm adaptor?
" The audiophile world is all pixy dust and fairies, or actually The Law Of Diminishing Returns tells the tale."
5. You spent $3500.00 for an Astell & Kern SP1000 and you are lecturing us about being victims who are used to being ripped off, pixy dust and the law of diminishing returns? You are special.
I'm guessing most of what you claim is lies.
The clueless muppet is the one who hides indoors too scared to go outside with his openback headphone😆
Sounds legit.
Here is a clue. Desktop components are the bits and pieces inside a Desktop Computer.
On one post you say you use a Fio, on another the iBasso and on yet another, the Astell & Kern.
You can't keep your B.S. straight.
We've all had a laugh but I think we're done now.
Personally, I'm glad that so many XLR and quarter-inch options are available. TRRS miniplugs are convenient and definitely have their uses, but I'm always pleased to see reasonable quarter-inch braided copper options for Sennheisers. I use a fair amount of pro equipment for arranging and overdubs, so it's good to have compatible audiophile kit.
I make them, it takes a while, roughly 2 and a half hours on this due to having to drill out the small y-splitter. Next time I willl use a bigger splitter, but it takes time to sheath the cable with paracord.
This is made using Van Damme mini starquad, which is OFC + SPC conductors, the HD6XX connectors are cheap from China, but Neutrik 4-Pin XLR are around $6-7 (here in the UK - £4.50).
$20 profit is not a lot for the work put in, unless you have chinese kids making them.
It was an idea that was raised by someone else in the second post, so I ran with it.
But it seems you don't want to believe this, and are stuck in the "a DAP can drive them fine" camp. 300 Ohms means nothing too, it depends on how the impedance changes with the frequency response, along with sensitivity.
Oh well, just keep saying to yourself that you are driving them fine...
Why do OTL amps tend to work well with less sensitive dynamic drivers? Because they can output lots of voltage, but are not great at outputting large amount of current (hence why they don't work as well with many Planar headphones).
And the iBasso DX200 can drive the hd600/650 without issue.
If you can do me a 1.5m balanced cable with a 2.5mm jack for $37 i'll order one from you.
My HE-500 are far better than the HD600 and HD650 to my ears, but they like lots of current, like what my Keces S3 can provide.
>Acts like a goon who think the world revolves around him and his desktop components.
But now I have used it lots, I like the mix of OFC and SPC conductors.
Here is a recent cable I made, fully sleeved, using Van Damme.
