Sorry to everyone about an earlier comment about the price on amazon being the same. I believe at the time it was, but that is no longer the case and this is cheaper now.
Panel type ??
EDIT : saw it was TN in the comments, fair enough, I'm not the targeted audience but TN has some strong advantages too (very crisp image in motion for example), also latest TN panels are really not that bad nowadays.
However, if I'm not mistaken, there is no Display Port, it can be a problem, as for the moment Nvidia does not support Freesync over HDMI, maybe it'll change in the future though !
Dimensions: 19.4 x 11.7 x 5.3 in (49.2 x 29.7 x 13.4 cm
Weight: 6.8 lbs (3.08 kg)
There is no way either is correct. To begin with, 5.3 inches thick?? And while I do see thick bezels (protection? just pretty?) my Sharp LL-S201A with a 19.5" visible LCD is 18.25" x 10.8", the Sibolan S17 which compares favorably with this monitor (although it's not Freesync) is 16.2" x 10.4". Maybe those dimensions are of the box? As for the weight, again the LL-S201A with its heavy special touch layer is 5.1 lbs w/o stand and 6.4 lbs with a stand. So I don't believe that weight either.
p24601The dimension and weight listed are the packaging gross weight and dimension. The unit itself is 16.8"x10.6" x1.0"
net weight is 3.47lbs. Thank you for point that out.
Good luck getting any kind of after-sales service or having any sort of warranty honored if anything goes wrong with the thing. They're ignoring us already and they don't even have our money yet!
Quixote1Hmmm, how come we overlooked this... We do apologize. The G-Story product is covered by one year manufacture warranty. Any warranty issue may contact Massdrop Customer Service or email gstorygaming@gmail.com
Inputs: USB Type-C, 2x HDMI, USB Type-A
The Type-C support Android cell phone video and charging. But the Android cell phone must support Type C connection.
The USB Type A is for user to connect USB KB or Mouse or other USB input device.
Thank you
@theGStory
Four questions:
1) Is the actual screen display size 17", or is that the frame size of the monitor itself?
2) Can the USB-C connection be used to power the device as well as transfer the display data at the same time, eliminating the need for multiple cables?
3) Is shipping included for Canada as well, or is that exclusively to the US?
4) If so, what is the estimated shipping time?
Thanks in advance.
I really wish there was a UHD or even QHD option for these portable monitors. I need one to pair up with a MacBook Pro 2018 since I travel alot and would use it for programming. Does anyone know of a good - high quality portable monitor that goes beyond 1080p? Thanks!
