I bought Gateron Clear, Yellow, and Green. At 23 cents per switch, sometimes even lower, they are perfect for my need. Each type of switch's actuation force, behaviors, and sound levels work as advertised.
LEDs are soldered to a PCB. That is how the LEDs get power. SMD LEDs are used with hotswap boards. Some LEDs passthrough the switch, this makes customization hard because the switch and LED would need to be desoldered to install new switches

erickongThis doesn’t answer the question. Are there LEDs in the switch? There are switches that have LEDs embedded in them. Do these have that feature?

AlxMedThey do not. They have empty slots to accommodate lights, and clear housings for light to show through. No actual built-in lights.
The clears have the least resistance, second is the yellows. But clears also don't give your fingers much of a push on the upstroke, so I prefer yellows.
