Yeah..... at this price point just save a bit more and get a Stowa or perhaps a Laco. At least those guys made them originally.

HogieArchimede would be my more price-friendly choice. But...Stowa Verus 43 includes an upgrade to a 2824 Top grade, which gives a pretty solid accuracy upgrade. For a US buyer, no VAT, so the net price would be not much more. Archimede does lots of size options...45, 42, 39, 36. And if you like...42 and 39 can be purchased with a bronze case. Adds a fair bit to the final cost, but the occasional bronze case is a nice change of pace. Not exactly typical for a pilot watch but it fits the sporty-casual. But definitely all brands I'd lean to before these guys. Then again, I'd almost consider Invicta before these guys.

AshyamVastly overstated "base value", massive markdowns across the board even in their own store? Not harsh. Abuse of "Swiss Made", how do we really know what the build quality is, what makes you think the parts are sourced from anything but China? Swiss movement can be a standard grade 2824, which is not particularly good (+/- 20 SPD). A step up from an 8000 series Miyota or NH35? Sure, but not that big a step. The bigger factor is the marketing, trying to create the impression they buyer's getting some great deal.
