benskey@Siga If you look at the photo under "Craftsmanship", you will see that it's secured with a string. There aren't any internal pockets on the cover.

ChristopherJSo what you're saying is, this is really a piece of leather with some hot press indenting on it with a piece of wax string sewn/stuck to it so hold small notebooks?

LafontaineKYou're sort of right, in that it is definitely a piece of leather used as a cover for a field notes notebook. It's a piece of hand-cut, hand-burnished natural veg leather that has some wax thread sewn in to hold small notebooks.
