is the eq the same as r2 and r3, once you add bass the volume drops by 6 db?

I think it depends on the power output and sensitivity if the IEM too. I mean it will be audible if the power output and sensitivity is low.

Cliff_21i mean, for example, the sony dap their eq does not affect other frequency bands and volume, the hiby does this by a lot, any iem, i have 40, once i add a bit bass the volume drops down to much, and if i have a 70mw power, that means it will sound like a 40mw sony dap.

Cliff_21there is not much difference between 35mw to 40mw, the volume drop is to much, but worst is just by turning the eq in any hiby, the volume and tone changes when they all set at flat response, makes no sense, then when you had 60hz on the eq, you can listen that the 1k starts to change too, so sorry, hiby, fiio and most Chinese daps that use the hiby UI are total crap in my opinion.
