dieps17How much?
And it looks like the keyboard sits a little low in that setup, are you able to make it sit up a little higher?

ChitownM2How much? Not anywhere near as clean as the Datamancer one seeing how you are using the original case. It appears that the acryclic case just drops into a wood shell.

dieps17I would definitely be interested depending on the price and if you could make the keyboard sit a little higher.

I could make these to sit as high as the wrist rest, though my reasoning for doing this way is that your hand is at a more natural positon this way. Where I don't have to lift my fingers at a unproportional high to reach or the keys.

Idaho-ianI'm thinking around $100 with free shipping and handling. The point of making these is that you could still use your original acrylic shell in case you didn't have space in backpack or work desk. Or didnt want to take it apart. For simplicity just drop it in, and take it out whenever.

dieps17Yeah, I can understand why you made it this way. It feels more comfortable when you fingers drop below to hit the keys. It's like Kinesis Advantage, the wrist rest part is higher than the keyboard. In the similar reason, I used to prefer full hand Ergodox to half hand.

dieps17Nope, looks great. I have bought separated wrist wrests for the moment, but I honestly don't know if I would prefer a case or otherwise until I actually get my Ergodox.

Idaho-ianNo problem, I've used a separate wrist rest myself, and had mixed feelings about it. But yeah, get your ergodox first, then dress it up. The cases will still be available then.

dieps17Hello dieps17,
Do you know if your keycaps are made out of ABS or PBT material?

vvlierbergheI do, they're DCS ABS double shot. Got them off pimp my keyboard website.

dieps17Hello dieps17,
Is the dump cluster also DSC, Or is it just some flat keys?

dieps17But pimpmykeyboard does not offer a fifth row set that the ergodox needs. Unless i order DSA keys.

dieps17Then i will go with the DSA keycaps from pimpmykeyboard.

dieps17I was just wondering if DCS would make any difference in typing speed and accuracy compared to DSA. As i still type on a DCS sculped keyboard with Blue switches from daskeyboard.
As the ergodox is so different from my keyboard i have now... Its ortholinear layout might make no difference in performance with DSA's.
But i don't really know right now, so tell me your thoughts about this idea.

vvlierbergheUnfortunately I don't have any experience typing on DSAs on an Ergodox keyboard. So I can't speak for that. I've used DSA on a Pok3r 60%, and I like the way the DCS keys fit under my fingers. Because I'm pushing for that ultimate ergomic feel, i believe the keys are also suitable for the split set. I'm researching now how i can tilt the case so that i can have my arm in an even more natural position while typing. For us fulltime developers and typists it is essential for us to have the tools so that we can accomplish what we need to with ease, or at least without too much stress on bodies. So All that to say, i think it makes me a better typist, or at least it makes me think i am, make me feel good.
