This year, I bough four Inov-8s from Amazon, and returned three. The one I kept was size 9.5, and it was a little tight, but since I used it, I couldn't return it. Then the drop for the Inov-8 Roclite 325 Boots came along, and I thought I had it dialed. I ordered the size 10, and it's a little tight too. It's been sitting in my closet for two or three months now. I bought it for backpacking trips but I'm afraid to use it without trying it out on a short hike. I don't even want to use it on a day hike, because my day hikes are kinda long, they last 4 to 5 hours. So I still have to test it. I have wide feet, and even the standard version, which is supposed to be wide, is a little tight. I really want to like this, but I'm a bit wary of it. To be fair, it's a "boot" built like a trail-running shoes; it's made of lightweight materials that need to hug your feet. If it was spacious like a pair of Merrells, it would probably be prone to cause you to injure your ankle. I'm still trying to figure out if there's a benefit of buying these boots over the normal Inov-8 Roclite. I also have an Adidas Terrex, and it's awesome. It grips wet rocks like a frog. With that said, I have three hiking shoes that will likely never see the trail again, after I switched to trail running shoes. Inov-8s are awesome for day hikes, and the Adidas Terrex is a little bit sturdier, by not much, but it makes a difference when carrying a multi-day backpack. They both are awesome, with the Inov-8s coming in slightly lighter. If you have narrow feet, go with Inov-8. I you're prone to roll your ankle, the Adidas Terrex has excellent ankle support for such a lightweight shoes.

LeoKauaii could never find a show by inov8 that fit quite right. i tried a lot of different styles, but never this boot. i think i've given up at this point though...in theory they seem like good shoes.
if you're still looking for hiking boot recommendations, i was surprised at the comfort of The North Face boots (ultra fastpack). still my favorite pair of "heavy" boots (that are actually quite light). Salomon has some great options also.
