Funny, the more I stare at the face of this watch the more I see "8 ball". Perhaps the designer was... Oh nevermind.

riggarob'8' has been a theme of Jaquet Droz from all their years in Hong Kong /China. Most of their watches are editions of 88 (or 8 in the case of their tourbillons). Apparently, 8 is good luck! Or fortune... Or something along those lines. This brand 'grew up' with the Hong Kong watch market
