I saw these speakers have a built in DAC, however I do not see any USB input. Which input does it takes to the DAC? (RAC and AUX should be analog input which do not get through the DAC, I am not sure about optical and bluetooth though)
chiuks25I'm not sure about the speakers themselves but Bluetooth and Toslink are digital only signals... I would assume they need a DAC somewhere along the way. AUX could carry a digital signal if the output device supported it.
chiuks25Most modern Mac's will pass a digital connection through their 3.5mm port when using a mini-toslink cable, let me know the model and year and I can check this for you!
chiuks25chiuks25,
That's correct. All Macbook Pro's can output optical from the audio port, all you'll need is a mini toslink to toslink cable to make it work.
Though it's tiny, it manages to power even high ohm headsets with amazing accuracy. It works great with the drop usb-c to usb-c and my Phillips shp-9600. Soon enough I'll be using the Akoustyx...
I have an external amplifier with no integrated DAC and I only have an xduo xa10 as a dac/amp can I use the xduo xa10 as a dac only with an external amplifier?
So I bought the HD6xx a few weeks back and when I finally got the packages i got some Noir 99. ever happened to any of u guys and how did it get resolved
If you send the YU5's a PCM Stereo signal through the optical input you'd be utilizing the built in DAC.
