That's a nice looking design. The only reservation I have is with the 420HC steel.
I'm sure 420HC would serve me great given how little I actually use my EDC knives, but all this talk on the knife forums about how it's considered a ho hum steel for small blades is giving me pause.
Anyone have opinions one way or another about how good a value this drop is given the 420HC blade?

K.T.NYou can get better steel within the same price point if not a few bucks more. 8cr13mov is the best steel for the buck in these price range, 420HC (HC stands for high carbon but only in the context that the original 400 series metals contains much less than the .40% of carbon which a major contributing factor on how well a knife performs). 8cr13mov (aka Aus8) has twice that amount and can be found in the Kershaw Cryo which is similar to this knife in my opinion and costs almost the same but a few bucks more. Of there are heat treats and designs to consider in regards to metallurgy but in general I'd say this knife would be fine for people who see the occasional use of cutting things open as you can always sharpen them.
