I got this on the first drop and wasn't sure about the Kailh switches. Once I had it in hand though, they are almost identical to cherry switches. There is a difference sure - the Kailh reds are ever so slightly heavier to type on than cherry reds and feel a bit tighter vs the cherry's. The difference hasn't bothered me in the slightest though.
As for build quality, this is really nice - solid constuction, cable is decent (thick) but isn't detachable and isn't reinforced at the point of entry (not sure what they call that with the extra rubber wrapping, but the WASD v1 had it).
The stock keycaps (black ABS shine through) were meh for me, but the included white PBT caps look very nice on it.
For the price I think this is definitely worth it for those wondering if they should pull the trigger.
