Product Description
You’ve reduced your keyboard to maximize your desk space, but you’re having second thoughts about ditching that number pad. Don’t double back to the expanded layout, simply arm yourself with a removable keypad that plugs directly into your USB port Read More
i regret deciding to keep the numpad even though it was nothing like described, well now its already malfunctioning half the time registering one click as 2 etc... complete POS hardware. this massdrop also put me of from doing any more orders...
Anyone receive their refund yet? I dropped the package off on 7/21/15 and it's been delivered multiple times to Edison, NJ for some reason according to the tracking. Massdrop support hasn't been very responsive and I also sent them a support ticket with what's going on with the refund status about 5 days ago with no reply back yet.
Quick screenshot of the weirdness going on with the RMA.
DocoMy refund posted to my card last Tuesday, four days after Massdrop received the return. I didn't have any problems with the delivery despite my delivery date coinciding with your initial date.
I hope you're able to get your refund soon!
DocoYeah, looks like the same tracking number is begin used for every return or something? I've got a ton of deliveries to Edison from many destinations on mine too. I haven't received a refund yet either. I can't tell what's actually happening since the tracking doesn't make sense. Getting impatient as its had plenty of time to make it to them.
For whatever reason, I seem to have received the product that was actually advertised. I wonder if anyone else had the same experience with this drop. (?)
To add some details, mine has the Kailh brown switches and arrived already in late May. (Serial number in the high 1800s.) Makes me wonder if there were some left in stock somehow, and that's what I got…
Edmundoh, I'm not sure but you may be right. All I can tell you is that I made the purchase on May 13th, and the item arrived already on May 28th (which was sooner than I expected).
I agree with ScottJL – if Keycool is no longer producing the item with the original specs, then this drop needs to be taken down as a future option.
Only just received this today as i had it delivered to a shopusa.com adress and needed them to ship it on to Denmark. Full refund - even with a shipping label - will be a joke as i already paid customs and VAT to import it. Only tonight when I recieved the package did I also notice that the white PBT keycaps was apparently not part of this drop... Guess I should have read the description closer. Anyway considering everything with this drop and how Massdrop is not really that cheap to us european customers, this will be my last drop as well.
Some of us would consider keeping the product despite the ugly cable + shoddy and ugly keycaps, as long as the keys were mapped to actually be numpad. Are you working out a resoltuion with keycool? Is it possible to change the mappings with a software update or something?
Alternatively, does anyone know if it is possible to mod the numpad to actually produce numpad keys? I'd love to avoid going through the hassle of sending this back, and finding another numpad, but this seems unlikely so far.
Fully agree - Living in Denmark we use , for . and vice versa for numbers (so 1,000.00 is 1.000,00 in danish numbering) the numpad outputs . regardless of language settings so it is effectively useless for me without hacking it :/
Shouldn't you (Massdrop) consider waiting for a reply and work out a resolution with keycool before you give your customers an ultimatum with a very short four days notice? I understand this isn't your fault, but the least you should do is give us time to decide if we want a measly 5$ refund + defective product or a full refund. Some international customers did not even receive the product before the 20th (Including me).
You did not even specify whether youd refund the shipping costs as well.
Shouldn't we be receiving some kind of notice after we've contacted support? I entered my choice (full refund) last week but by this morning still hadn't even seen a 'we got this, we'll contact you shortly' type of response.
There's no way im paying for return shipping on this. I know it's not massdrop's fault, but it sure as hell isn't mine either.
I don't really care about the key caps or the cable, but the keys are mapped to the number row rather than the number pad, which was the reason I bought it. If keycool can produce a magic fix out of their ass, I'd love to keep it, and buy a new tenkeyless keyboard to boot. But otherwise, no thanks.
