LAMY CP1 Fountain Pen

I'm new to the fountain pen game. Looks like something that would facilitate quick note taking. What do the experts have to say? I'm a mathematics student, so I usually have to scrawl down symbols very quickly, which is doable with the Pilot G-Tec C4 (my go-to pen since I discovered it earlier this semester). I have a set of Rapidograph pens for artistic pursuits, but they don't write as well at the angle necessary for quick writing. So how does this Lamy compare to the pens I have?
