So by "laptop" they mean you can use it as a storage shelf and no more. Because the "lip" at the bottom is not adjustable there's no way to use this as a stand. Bit misleading but in today's world not uncommon.

KestrelXI'm confused by your comment. Based on the picture below can't you just open the laptop screen and type from an external keyboard and point with an external mouse? The issue I see though is that you would need to crane your neck down a bit to look at the screen, though if you are using the laptop flat you would need to do that anyway. I have a laptop stand at work that I place my laptop on so I can look at the screen head on.
